NEW ORLEANS - Preserving the unique architectural history of New Orleans has always been the mission of the Preservation Resource Center.

The annual Ladies in Red Gala was established to raise funds for a particular aspect of that mission - the African American Heritage Preservation and Heritage Education programs.

Event Chairman Edgar Chase was in the studio to tell us about the twelfth annual gala.

The gala takes place at Generations Hall at 310 Andrew Higgins Dr. on June 8. The patron party is from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m., followed by the gala from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Learn more about the gala or order tickets by going to http://www.prcno.org/events/calendar/1233.

WWL-TV got a preview of the music to be played at the event from jazz pianist David Torkanowsky.
