NEW ORLEANS - Celebrating all things veggie, the NOLA Veggie Fest is now in its fourth year.
The festival is a project of the Humane Society of Louisiana and features vendors, cooking demos, speakers and films with the vegan/vegetarian community in mind.
One of those that will be showing off their culinary skill is Santa Fe Tapas Executive Chef Mario Abdu.
He was in the kitchen on Thursday, as well as Charlotte Ergun, the owner of Santa Fe Tapas, and Jehan Strouse, of NOLA Veggie Fest, who had the details on the event.
The fest is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the New Orleans Healing Center on St. Claude Avenue. For more information, visit http://nolaveggiefest.com/.
