NOMA art exhibit shows reverence to Chef Leah Chase

NEW ORLEANS - Next January, culinary legend Leah Chase turns 90-years-old.

She will celebrate the start to her ninth decade with fine food, friends, and art at NOMA.

The museum opens a new exhibit on Monday called "Leah Chase: Paintings by Gustave Blache III." It spotlights the talented and tireless chef and Blache's personal mission to capture a behind-the-scenes look of Chase at work.

Chase and Blache were in the studio on Friday with more information.

The exhibit opens Tuesday and will be on display through September 9.

On Monday night, there will be a special gala celebration from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.at NOMA to preview the exhibit and honor Chase.
