NEW ORLEANS - In Germany, Oktoberfest is a 16 day festival celebrating beer and is over 200 years old.
Here in New Orleans, people of German descent and others come together to celebrate with an Oktoberfest across the city.

Saturday and Sunday's festivities are from noon until 9 p.m. There will be German food, German music, door prizes, a costume contest and more.
