Just up the river, in St. John the Baptist Parish, they make a savory sausage that just screams Cajun, called andouille, and it's so popular, it's been celebrated with a festival for 4 decades.

Joining the Eyewitness Morning News to talk about this year's festival, is St. John the Baptist Parish President, Natalie Robottom, and from Avis' Kitchen, Avis White and Janice Matthew.

The 40th annual St. John the Baptist Andouille Festival is this weekend on the grounds of the St. John Community Center on Highway 51 in LaPlace.
