Last night, New Orleans District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro delivered his third "State of the Criminal Justice System" address. In that nearly 40-minute speech, Cannizzaro made it clear he needs more funding for his office.
“Please do not allow financial restraints to stifle our progress at this critical stage of the reform,” Cannizzaro said. “We will be unable to continue our current level of output given our dwindling resources.”
