NEW ORLEANS - Citrus canker is a bacterial disease that only affects citrus plants.
It was found in Louisiana for the first time in June at City Park in New Orleans.
Citrus canker poses no health risks to humans or animals, but it can be devastating to citrus crops.
Louisiana Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain was in the studio with information on how his department is working to keep the disease from spreading.
