NEW ORLEANS - The recovery from Hurricane Isaac, like Hurricane Katrina, could take years.
More than 80 non-profit agencies supported by the United Way for Southeast Louisiana are in it for the long-haul.
But it will take money, which is where you can help.
On Friday night, Channel 4 is presenting a live concert for flood victims at Tipitina's Uptown.
Steven Zimmer of the United Way and it's "No Place Like Home" initiative and Mary Von Kurnatowski of the Tipitina's Foundation, which is partnering with Channel 4 on this effort, were in the studio with more information on the programs the concert will support.
The "Concert 4 Flood Relief" will be broadcast live this from Tipitina's beginning at 8 p.m. on WWLTV's sister station, WUPL Channel 54.
The musical acts include Mia Borders, the Stooges Brass Band and more.
You can also be part of the live audience. If you donate a non-perishable food item at the door, you get discounted admission.
You'll be hearing more about this in the coming days on our newscasts and web site.
