NEW ORLEANS - We tend to think of the RICO Act, America's anti-racketeering law, as a tool used by the federal prosecutor to convict high profile mobsters.
But Tuesday, New Orleans District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro announced that he has secured RICO indictments for two local drug gang cases.
The D.A. joined us to to tell us about these latest indictments and to explain how the use of this law actually allows him to strengthen his case in court.
