NEW ORLEANS, La. -- As the New Orleans Police Department continues its search for the killers of 1-year-old Londyn Samuels, who was shot in Central City last Thursday, an 11-year-old is killed, in her home, in another shooting Monday.

Police say violent crime has decreased in the city so far this year, but more needs to be done to stop the murders of innocent bystanders.

Now, local musicians Dr. John and Bobby Rush with the Blinddog Smokin’ Band, have produced a new song entitled, “Another Murder in New Orleans” and they will release it this week at a fundraiser for Crimestoppers.

Darlene Cusanza joins the Eyewitness Morning News with Bobby Rush, to give more information on Le Masque Carnivale and the Crimestoppers Patron Party, September 11 at Generations Hall.

For tickets, call (504) 837-8477 or (504) 832-2570.
