Elf on the Shelf book expands to include birthday tradition

It started as a family tradition and then in 2005, Carol Aebersold and her twin daughter Chanda Bell, self-published the Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition book and doll, and started a phenomenon that has expanded from their home in Atlanta, to cities all over the country.

In October, they released their second book, the Elf on the Shelf: A Birthday Tradition, and joining the Eyewitness Morning News with the new book, is author Carol Aebersold.
