Healing Mothers Heal, Project Restore, Parenting Matters, those are the names of just a few of the programs and services offered by the Family Center of Hope, which was founded by Pastors Tom and Pat Watson of Watson Memorial Teaching Ministries.

For 25 years they have reached into some of the poorest, most disenfranchised neighborhoods of the city to bring comfort to mothers who have lost children to violence, a way out to those who chose a life of crime, and much more.

Pastors Tom and Pat Watson join the Eyewitness Morning News with more on their work, which will be celebrated this week.

It's not too late to get tickets for the Family Center of Hope Gala and Reception honoring founders and Pastors Tom and Pat Watson. The event is Thursday, starting at 7 pm, at the Audubon Tea Room. For more information or to reserve tickets, call (504) 891-3264. And remember, there will be three 25th pastoral anniversary worship celebrations Sunday, at 7:30 am, 10 am and 6 pm, at Watson Memorial Teaching Ministries, 4400 St. Charles Avenue. For more information, call the church at 899-4400.
