Fashion Week New Orleans even bigger in its third year

NEW ORLEANS - Fashion Week New Orleans has grown into a major event in the city since it started just three years ago.

It will bring top designers and fashion industry professionals to the city over the next week, as well as help local charities and share advice with young people interested in a career in fashion.

Founder and creative director Tracee Dundas was in the studio with more information. Designer Kallen Forster, who is taking part in a design competition at fashion week, and three models wearing outfits from her collection were in the studio as well.

The events are happening all over town this week, and they start Wednesday with trunk shows and special shopping events.

Friday is the fashion industry career day with professional designers sharing their advice with students.

The runway shows are Thursday through Sunday at the Sugar Mill.
