NEW ORLEANS- In keeping with the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Foundation's Cultural Enrichment Program, the Congo Square Rhythms Festival is a showcase of the music and culture of the African diaspora.

The music of Africa, the Caribbean and the Gulf South will be performed by such groups as Red Baraat, The Stooges Brass Band and Africa Brass with the New Orleans Latin band, Otra.

Scott Aiges was in the studio to tell us about the fest.

The festival is Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. in Armstrong Park.

Admission is free.
