A fundraiser to help replace the trees lost along Bayou St. John is coming up this weekend, and it involves a recognizable artist, Marlin Miller, who turned the dead tree at Orleans Avenue and Jefferson Davis Parkway into a beautiful sculpture.

Marlin Miller joins the Eyewitness Morning News, along with Ed Toups, to talk more about tonight's fundraiser.

The fundraiser begins at 7:00 p.m. at Pearl Wine Company in the American Can building on Orleans Avenue. Tickets are $50 for individuals, $75 per couple and the price includes wine, food and live music from Trio Mollusc, featuring Ed Voelker of the Radiators. All of the proceeds go to benefit the Restore the Bayou Canopy Campaign.
