The African American Heritage Program of the Preservation Resource Center is uniquely New Orleans. It focuses on identifying and preserving the homes and cultural legacy of New Orleans Jazz Musicians.

Last yaer, it began an educational program called, "My City, My Home," for elemetary and middle school students.

It's through the annual Ladies in Red Gala that programs like these receive funding.
