For 175 years, the New Orleans Times-Picayune was the city's daily paper, until the decision was made more than a year ago, to cut back home delivery and focus the paper's energies to its website.

That decision, left New Orleans as America's largest city without a daily paper, and left much of the paper's staff without a job.

Those troubling times have been captured in the new book, "Hell and High Water: the Battle to Save the Daily New Orleans Times-Picayune," written by Rebecca Thiem, a former Times-Picayune writer, and she joins the Eyewitness Morning News to discuss her new book.

Pick up a copy of Rebecca Theim's "Hell and High Water: The Battle to Save the Daily New Orleans Times-Picayune" at all local bookstores.
