If you've been in New Orleans long enough, you've probably heard some tall tales about some of the street names, or why they're pronounced the way they are.

Now one local author has put together a new book that tells the history of the city through the names of its streets, and Sally Asher joins the Eyewitness Morning News with a closer look at Hope and New Orleans: A History of Crescent City Street Names.

This month you'll have three opportunities to meet the author. The first book signing is Saturday at Costco from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and then on Saturday, May 24, the Friends of the Cabildo are sponsoring a book signing at the 1850 Museum House from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., right on Jackson Square. And finally, on Saturday, May 31, Sally Asher will be at Palmer Park Art Market from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Click here for more information.
