Whenever the electricity goes out, the first question is, "For how long?"

That's especially true during hurricane season.

While crews do what they need to do to restore power, officials are also asking you to do your part and that is to stay safe.

Danny Schaus, the director of governmental services for Cleco, was in the studio to explain.
