The art of dance has evolved to the point where some lament the lost of classical ballroom dancing, however, they might change their minds if they saw the Jefferson Parish students compete in the Martin Marino Dance Challenge, and they can because it's free and open to the public and coming up Wednesday night.

Joining the Eyewitness Morning News are several children from the J.C. Ellis School, and Dance Challenge founder Martin Marino, and dance instructor Javier Juarez.

The 6th annual Martin Marino Dance Challenge will take place Wednesday evening, starting at 6 p.m. at the Pontchartrain Center, 4545 Williams Boulevard in Kenner. Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information, call (504) 615-4046.
