NEW ORLEANS - Compared to other cancers, pediatric bone cancer is uncommon, striking only 1,500 children a year.
So it, like other kid cancers, receives very few funds for research.
New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead is taking part in an upcoming fundraiser to help kids diagnosed with cancer.
He's teaming up with the founder of the Triumph Over Kid Cancer Foundation, James Ragan, who joined us now with more information.
The third annual Big Easy Fundraiser takes place Sunday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Arbor Room at Popp Fountain in City Park.
