NEW ORLEANS - Making history and breaking records has become a signature of the Krewe of Endymion.

One of the Carnival season's most anticipated parades will feature new LED lights on its floats. The krewe's annual Extravaganza returns to the Superdome.

Endymion is also welcoming its first black king.

The 46th King of Endymion, George LaFargue, Jr. joined us Friday morning.

Endymion is set to roll at 4:30 p.m. Saturday on its traditional Mid-City route.

LaFargue presides over the super krewe of 25 krewe floats and over 2,500 riders.

This year's theme is "Happily Ever After" and some of the coveted throws will surely be multi-colored 3-D medallions and a lighted Endymion spinning man.

The parade features special celebrity guests Anderson Cooper, Maroon 5 and Big Rich.
