Who knew that a simple lemonade stand could actually be the first step to becoming a successful entrepreneur? At least that is one of the possibilities when you’re child participates in Lemonade Day.

Joining the Eyewitness Morning News to talk more about Lemonade Day programs are Ashton Ryan, a Lemonade Day city champion and the president and CEO of First NBC Bank, and Jeanne Boughton, President of the Junior League of New Orleans.

The Lemonade Day Louisiana kick-off in New Orleans is just around the corner, on May 3, but it's not too late to sign up your child or children, and you can do that online, by clicking here. Sign up by this Saturday and your child can receive certification at the Junior League of New Orleans' second annual Lemonade Day University, which will be held at the Junior League headquarters, 4319 Carondelet Street from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. It's a free event for kids 9 to 12 years of age.
