Bullying can happen to anyone, anywhere, at school, in a neighborhood and online.
But what can be done to protect children from being bullied or even becoming bullies themselves?
October is National Bullying Prevention month and there is something locals can do to take action.
Joining the Eyewitness Morning News to talk more about a local anti-bullying campaign, is Mary Jacob, Executive Director of Families Helping Families of Jefferson, and Jefferson Parish Councilman Paul Johnston.
You can join Families Helping Families of Jefferson Wednesday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the Unite Against Bullying Rally. Everyone is encouraged to wear orange and sign the pledge to end bullying. For more information call (504) 888-9111 or visit www.fhfjefferson.org.
