NEW ORLEANS - Considering the way we write on paper today, we've come a long ways since the ancient Egyptians and their use of hieroglyphics.

However, it appears the common use of computers have caused the art of handwriting to fall by the wayside.

But, some students are still excited about putting pen to paper.

In fact, Brooke Morgan, a first grader at St. Edward the Confessor, is one of 16 students from across the country who advanced as winners in a recent national handwriting contest.

She joined us on Friday, along with her teacher, Virginia Rehm.
