For close to 40 years, the Louisiana Crawfish Festival has shown the state's favorite crustacean the respect it deserves, and residents have eaten it up.

This year will be no different, and to prove it the Eyewitness Morning News welcomes the music of Voodoo Gumbo, just one of the performers at this year’s fest, along with Cisco Gonzales, Fred Billiot and this year's Crawfish Queen Carley Gravois, join the show to talk about all the fun the fest has to offer.

The Louisiana Crawfish Festival is from 5 p.m. until midnight Friday, 11 a.m. until midnight Saturday and 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday, at the Sigur Cultural Center, 8245 West Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette. For more information, click here.
