NEW ORLEANS, La. -- For years, California has been the movie capital of the world, but a new study shows Louisiana is giving Hollywood a run for its money.

Louisiana led the nation last year in feature film production, as 18 of 108 live action films were primarily shot in the state, and Canada and California tied for second place.

Joining the Eyewitness Morning News to talk more about the movie business, and what the state's film tax credit has had on the economy is Will French, the President of the Louisiana Film and Entertainment Association.

The Louisiana Film and Entertainment Association is looking for workers in the local film industry to take part in the Brain Gain survey. If you work in the film industry and want to fill out that survey, click here, and one lucky participant will even receive $1,000 in Louisiana film tax credits.
