NEW ORLEANS, La. - Eight years ago, Louisiana native, Lieutenant General Russel Honore, came home to leas the Army’s Joint Task Force Katrina and his no-nonsense style to kick start New Orleans’ recovery.

Since then he has retired, moved home permanently, and become an outspoken advocate for hurricane preparedness and protection.

He joins the Eyewitness Morning News, on the Anniversary of Hurricane Isaac and the 8th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, to talk about those issues, as well as causes for wetland loss, and the ongoing oil company lawsuit.
