NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a couple of shootings involving a few of its officers.

One of them is a traffic stop that turned deadly in Mid-City earlier this month.

One of the officers involved is also accused of making racist remarks about the Trayvon Martin killing in Florida.

The NAACP has been outspoken about this particular officer, Jason Giroir, who resigned yesterday evening.

Danatus King, local president of the civil rights organization, was in the studio Wednesday to talk about their concerns.
