NEW ORLEANS - For the parents of elementary and high school aged students, New Orleans public schools offer a wide array of choices.

Up until this year, those choices created confusion for many parents.

But in spring 2012, the Recovery School District and Orleans Parish public schools came together to officer a one-application-fits-all system.

In fall 2012, the city is close to universal acceptance of the system by all public school, including independent charters.

Here to tell us more about how the one app system benefits parents, schools and students are the executive director of enrollment at the Recovery School District, Gaby Fighetti, and the deputy superintendent of external affairs, Dana Peterson.

To learn more about the one app system, you can call 877-343-4773 or visit http://www.rsdla.net/Enrollment_Process/RSDParentCenter.aspx.
