NEW ORLEANS - The alleged rape of a Loyola student in a stairwell on campus is an on-going investigation, so we don't have all the details. But what we do know is that the two people involved knew each other.

That's not an uncommon situation and brings up the question of personal safety. Darlene Cusanza of Crimestoppers was in the studio with more information.

There are multiple resources for victims of sexual assault. The New Orleans Family Justice Center's number is 866-9554. Children's Hospital Audrey Hepburn Child Advocacy CARE Center's number is 896-9237. The YWCA Rape Crisis Line is 483-8888.

If you have information that could lead to the arrest or indictment of a wanted criminal, Crimestoppers wants to hear from you. You don't have to give your identity and you may still be eligible for a cash reward. Give them a call at 822-1111 or visit http://www.crimestoppersgno.org/.
