According to the Humane Society of Louisiana, stray puppies are more likely to be euthanized in Louisiana because of a lack of welcoming homes and a lack of shelter space, which is why they recently kicked off a campaign to raise funds for a unique van to be used to transport dogs to other parts of the country for adoption.

Joining the Eyewitness Morning News to better explain the Puppy Transport Project are Jeff Dorson of the Humane Society and Tammy Gennusa of First Bank & Trust, which has partnered with the Humane Society on this project.
