State Representative Walt Leger joins the eyewitness Morning News to discuss a grassroots movement formed after President Obama’s February State of the Union Address.

During the address Obama said “For the sake of our children and our future, we must do more to combat climate change. If congress won’t act soon to protect our future generations, I will…”

The “I will act on climate change” organization has since then formed and is trying to recruit others to make the same pledge.

The organization will hold a Katrina commemoration prayer breakfast Saturday, August 24, featuring political and religious leaders, Representatives of local environmental groups, and others.
