The spring and summer months bring a spike in the number of newborn kittens at local shelters and rescue groups, and that makes the special group of foster parents known as the Kitten Krewe even more crucial.
A litter of kittens who are too tiny to adopt, join the Eyewitness Morning News, and they bring with them Louisiana SPCA spokesperson Alicia Haefele, and foster parent Lynn Coatney.
If you'd like to adopt, the LA-SPCA's adoption hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm, and noon until 4 pm on Sunday. Donated items can be dropped off at 1700 Mardi Gras Boulevard in Algiers, from 9 am to 5 pm Mondays through Saturdays, or noon to 5 pm on Sunday. You can also donate online.
