NEW ORLEANS - Providing food for thousands across South Louisiana is everyday work for the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Their mission takes on a more special meaning in the wake of a natural disaster.

Gerald Duhon, chief philanthropy officer for Second Harvest, joined us with more information on Friday.

On Sunday, before the Saints game, Second Harvest Food Bank will collect non-perishable food items and/or cash donations at the Mercede-Benz Superdome.

Volunteers will be at gates A, C, E and G and in Champion Square from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
