NEW ORLEANS - Violent crime continued to dominate the headlines during the month of January, casting a shadow on several national tourism events.
Particularly worrisome were the number of people who were struck by bullets in their homes.
But, there was also a horrible gang rape and the murder of an Algiers father who was shot to death in front of his children while trying to stop a crime.
Superintendent of the New Orleans Police Department Ronal Serpas was in the studio to react to the frustration of local citizens to what seems to be an escalation in violence.
