"Songs in the Key of Life" set to Stevie Wonder music opens this weekend

Stevie Wonder's 1976 album "Songs in the Key of Life" is also now a musical conceived and directed by John Grimsley. The show features a 5 member cast, and it’s coming to New Orleans this weekend.

John Grimsley, along with cast members Gabriel Allen, Troi Bechet, Lloyd Daly, Suze Goddard, and Michaela Harrison, join the Eyewitness morning news to discuss the play.

"Songs in the Key of Life," an original musical set to the music of Stevie Wonder, opens October 4, 8 p.m. and runs every weekend through October 19, at the Ashe' Cultural Center, 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard. Admission is to the play is $20, and for more information call (504) 569-9070.
