The St. Anna's Art for Kids Program is designed to help break the cycle of poverty and violence through the arts. St. Anna's Episcopal Church also sponsors a Medical Mission to provide a mobile clinic for neighborhoods lacking one.
Joining the Eyewitness Morning News to talk about these two great programs and how you can help keep them going through a great event Thursday, are Diana Meyers, Director of the Medical Mission, and Darryl Durham, Director of the Arts for Kids Program.
The benefit for these two programs is Thursday night at St. Anna's Episcopal Church, 1313 Esplanade Avenue. The reception starts at 6 pm, followed by the concert at 7 pm. For more information, call 947-2121.
You can find the mobile clinic on Mondays from 8 am to noon at the corner of Esplanade Avenue and North Claiborne, under the I-10, Thursdays from 1 pm to 5 pm, in the 3000 block of Lasalle Street, and at least two Wednesdays a month, from 5 pm to 8 pm at 1313 Esplanade Avenue. To enroll your child in St. Anna's Arts for Kids Program, call 947-2121.
