He's been teaching the keys to smart investing at Tulane University for the past 27 years, and he's trying to help those who don't have business degrees how to reap the benefits of being a smart investor.

Peter Ricchiuti's book, Stocks Under Rocks has a lot of insight on how to find the hidden gems in the market, and a mutual fund, based on his finding, that has outperformed 99% of all stock funds over the past 11 years.

Ricchiuti joins the Eyewitness Morning News with a closer look at what tha book offers, including: three kinds of investors: the mattress investor, the handoff investor, and the trader.

You can speak with Ricchiuti in person and pick up a copy of his book later this week at a reading and book signing at the Maple Street Book Shop, 7529 Maple Street, at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday February 6.
