John Gendusa of John Gendusa Bakery, whose ancestor created the poor boy loaf, along with Clovis Martin, whose ancestors created the poor boy, join the Eyewitness Morning News, with a look back on the very beginning of the iconic sandwich.

Hear more about the birth of the poor boy from John Gendusa and Clovis Martin at the Oak Street Po-Boy Festival's History Center Presentation: First Families of the Poor Boy. It takes place Sunday, from noon until 12:30pm at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, in the 1200 block of Dublin Street. They will even provide free samples of poor boy bread.
