NEW ORLEANS - B-boying or break dancing was created in New York City in the late 1970s, but was popularized and spread across the country in the 1980s, going hand-in-hand with a new music genre called hip hop.
B-boying remains an exciting form of dance that's evolved over the past 30 years.
Jeffrey Coe and local crew, Breakin' the Silence, joined us Friday with more.
You can catch Breakin' the Silence on the Westbank parade route Feb. 12. They'll be performing in the Krewe of Alla parade that begins at noon.
