December's a big travel month, as everyone visits family and friends for the holidays.

Keeping your little ones safe in their car seats is what every parent wants, but how can you be sure their car seat is installed the way it's supposed to be installed?

You can have yours inspected.

It's a free service from the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force and the Interim LSU Public Hospital.

Bridget Gardner is a nurse and the injury prevention coordinator for the hospital. She joined us with more information on the event.

If you'd like to make sure your child's safety seat is properly installed in your car, the task force and hospital will conduct free installations and inspects on Saturday from noon until 3 p.m. at the Williams Boulevard Baptist Church at 3000 Williams Boulevard in Kenner.
