ST. JOHN PARISH, La. - Sandra Jones moved into her home on April 1 and had an occupied house on one side and a vacant house on the other.

She did not have flood insurance during Hurricane Isaac because the area was not a flood zone then, now she has to have insurance.

FEMA gave Jones some money but they money ran out.

After the contractor left, Jones went through several channels that brought her to the volunteer reception center at the New Wine Fellowship Church.

Neil Bernard, Pastor of New Wine Fellowship Church, and Executive Director of the Volunteer Reception Center, the program that helps with renovations saved Jones, and still needs help saving others like her.
