METAIRIE, La. - Mardi Gras is over, but your beads can be the gift that keeps on giving!
For three days, Krispy Kreme will be offering customers a free dozen of original glazed doughnuts for a 12-pound bead donation for Arc of Greater New Orleans recycling.
The donation has gained a large amount of local recognition.
"My phone has been ringing off the wall since Fat Tuesday, 'When are we going to take the beads,'" said Krispy Kreme Manager Mike Brooks.
