Chef Gerard Birdlow, from Brown Sugar BBQ, has an interesting twist on cooking blue crabs.
1 dozen of blue crabs
Your favorite BBQ rub (add brown sugar)
2 sticks of butter
1/4 cup of brown sugar
3 cloves garlic
Juice of 1 lemon
How to make the sauce:
Melt the butter over a med/low fire. Once the butter has melted add the other ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle crabs with BBQ rub and place on grill over med/high fire. Once crabs turn color, baste crabs for 7 minutes with sauce. Finally, cook 2 additional minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
