A legistlative committee on Monday considered a consultant's report on the current plans for the new University Medical Center in New Orleans.
The report suggests the medical complex would not be self-sustaining and that the state would be responsible for millions of dollars annually to keep the hospital running.
It is the same argument that has been made by Sen. David Vitter despite continue support for the project from Gov. Bobby Jindal's administration.
Vitter spoke with Eric Paulsen and Sally Ann Roberts on Tuesday morning about the project.
