Some time back, though, I learned how to go about finding these watering holes, and it was all because of a discovery made by present-day tavern owner Melvin Hoerner. But it was this morning when he actually presented me with proof positive evidence backing up the old claims and allowed me to touch a piece of live history that's truly Naturally N'Awlins.
