Frank's Holiday Rice Cooker Casserole

Frank's Swiss-Baked Green Beans

Chocolate Chip Cherry Cake

Here's a really tasty green bean side dish that goes great with almost any holiday entrée. But it goes especially well with this year's game hens and rice casserole. Oh, yeahI'd make an extra pan if I were you. Folks tend to go back to this one for seconds! 2 Tbsp. salted butter
2 large cans sliced green beans (303 size)

1/2 lb. lean premium bacon, cut into small pieces

8 oz. imported Swiss cheese

1 tsp. Frank Davis Vegetable Seasoning or comparable brand
1 tsp. coarse-ground black pepper First, take a 9x11-inch Pyrex baking dish and butter it well, both sides and bottom. Then under cool running water gently wash and drain the green beans (you don't want to break them up), fry down the bacon pieces until they're crisp, and thinly shred the Swiss cheese. Now begin making layers in the baking pana layer of beans, a layer of crumbled-up bacon, a layer of cheese, and a a sprinkling of vegetable seasoning and black pepper. Then repeat the process over and over until all the ingredients are used. Finally, place the dish into a 350-degree oven and bake ituncoveredfor about 20 minutes (or until the cheese has thoroughly melted and starts to brown). I recommend you serve it right from the oven while it's still piping hot! 1. If you choose to do so, you can substitute fresh green beans for canned beans in this recipe. Just remember to poach them until tender in chicken stock or smother them down in a tight-fitting skillet before using them in the recipe.
2. If you can't find my vegetable seasoning where you shop, you can order it directly from my website (www.frankdavis.com).
