NAPOLEONVILLE, La. – A 34-year-old Plattenville man is behind bars on charges that he allegedly raped a woman Thursday.
Ferrantee Alexis, 34, faces one count of simple rape.
Mike Waguespack, a spokesman for the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, said the victim told deputies her son’s barber, Alexis, began knocking on her door.
Waguespack said the woman claims Alexis forced himself into her back bedroom and allegedly raped her. She said she told him several times “to stop and get off of her.” Waguespack said he “eventually quit after slapping her.”
The victim was taken to the hospital after calling 911.
Waguespack said Alexis claims he did have sex with the victim, but said it was consensual.
Alexis has posted a $50,000 bond since his arrest.
