KENNER, La. - There was more security and more barricades to greet Saints fans as they arrived near the airport to greet their 10-0 heroes Sunday evening.
Fans were being asked to park in a nearby warehouse area and were walking behind additional barricades to an area where they could see the team.
Crowds estimated at several thousand have greeted the team upon their return home the past two games and just as large of a crowd was in place Sunday.
Concerns about whether fans or children could get hurt were raised as it had recently taken Saints players more than 30 minutes in some cases to navigate the crowds and get home.
Kenner Police Chief Steve Caraway said the Saints team paid for additional details for Sunday's arrival.
